The sixth edition of ADOpreneurs, a week dedicated to helping teenagers in Fribourg discover entrepreneurship, was held from 11 to 14 July.
The special week dedicated to raising interest in entrepreneurship among young students, called "ADOpreneurs" happened in early July in Fribourg. This great initiative was launched six years ago by the Chambre de commerce et d'industrie du canton de Fribourg (CCIF) in collaboration with the Haute école d'ingénierie et d'architecture de Fribourg (HEIAFR), the School of Management Fribourg (HEG-FR) and the Innovation Lab Fribourg.
Immersion in Entrepreneurship
During this week, 17 teenagers from Fribourg (14-16 years old) have been guided by students from HEIAFR and HEGFR, and also a team of CCIF young collaborators. ADOpreneurs was the opportunity to immerse themselves in the practical world of entrepreneurship since they had to create from A to Z a small enterprise.
In order to inspire the participants, Grégoire Vial, CEO of Charpentes Vial SA and Dominique Pirrello, CEO Progin SA Construction métallique shared their knowledge and experience as accomplished entrepreneurs during a lecture. The 4 different teams of teenagers also visited "Up to You", a company specialized in digital communication. There, the young entrepreneurs in exercise could learn more about branding and commercial communication.
Reveal in front of the families
To close this special experience, the young fribourgeoises et fribourgeois presented their projects to their parents, a few professors and representants from de different institutions organizing the event. Chantal Robin, director of the CCIF opened the session by explaining that over the course of the week, the budding entrepreneurs had to experiment with "competitiveness" by giving themselves the means to develop a project from start to finish.
Over the course of the week, the teenage participants learned new things, such as the art of storytelling, creating a website, finding the right formula for allocating roles in a company, defining a budget and looking for potential partners. This year's event was a great success, with a wide range of projects completed in just a few days!
