Successful first German-speaking Fribourg Business Forum organised by the School of Management Fribourg

On Tuesday 11 March, the School of Management Fribourg hosted the first German-speaking Freiburg Business Forum at the Podium Düdingen. Around 100 business owners and other interested parties were invited to discuss forward-looking topics such as succession planning, the four-day working week and energy efficiency.

The event focused on strengthening Fribourg as a business hub by fostering connections between local businesses. Alfred Münger, organiser of the forum and representative of the School of Management Fribourg, emphasised: "The idea behind this initiative was to re-engage more strongly with German-speaking Fribourg. Promoting bilingualism and building bridges between companies are particularly important to us." The forum featured a diverse programme. State Councillor Olivier Curty represented the political perspective and highlighted the importance of regional collaboration in his welcome address. In three inspiring presentations, Annette Heimlicher (Contrinex), Anita Maric Fasel (NET Nowak Energy & Technology Ltd) and Heinz Egger (Mondo Sport) shared valuable insights into their companies and provided ideas for achieving sustainable business success. The panel discussion and subsequent networking session enabled participants to share their experiences.

The School of Management Fribourg is highly satisfied with the outcome of the event and sees it as confirmation of its strategic direction. "We want to bring businesses together so that they can exchange ideas. The response shows just how strong the interest in networking and sustainable solutions is across the region," concluded Alfred Münger. With this successful launch, the School of Management Fribourg has made an important contribution to the economic vitality of German-speaking Fribourg and plans to establish the forum as a recurring platform for regional exchange.
