Yesterday, the School of Management Fribourg welcomed around 30 alumni to its sixth "Alumni Apéro" for an evening focusing on career choices and the shortage of skilled workers.
The sixth Alumni Apéro took place at the School of Management Fribourg on 27 April 2026, bringing together around 30 graduates from the German-speaking section of the school for an engaging evening of networking and discussion.
The highlight of the evening was a keynote presentation by Michael Raaflaub, a Bachelor’s graduate of the School of Management Fribourg and Co-Founder of the Lehrberufe Live! platform. He illustrated how the platform bridges the gap between school and work, supports young people in choosing their career path, and helps apprenticeship providers attract future talent in the face of ongoing skills shortages. Lehrberufe Live! gives young people authentic insights into a wide range of careers through live video content created by apprentices, and helps to promote equal opportunities. By providing realistic information about vocational pathways at an early stage, the platform also helps reduce apprenticeship drop-out rates. It is supported by more than 100 partners and members and is funded through membership contributions and public sector support.
The drinks reception that followed gave guests the opportunity to continue the discussion, exchange ideas and make new connections. The School of Management Fribourg would like to thank all participants for their valuable contributions and looks forward to future events that will continue to strengthen collaboration between educational institutions and the business community over the long term.
