Valentino Scarcia

After an apprenticeship as a computer scientist, I went on to study business economics, followed by a master's degree in international management, to gain some perspective on the complexity of tasks in the world of work. I started my career as a management IT specialist in the field of IT service standardization at the Federal Office of Information Technology. It was a position as project manager in the development of automatic data exchange and intelligent mobility that led me to the Federal Roads Office.

In 2022, when this same organization restructured, I had the pleasure of taking on the role of head of the "Mobility and IoT applications" team within the "Digital Services" division. My team is responsible for the smooth running, maintenance and renewal of operating and safety equipment (signals, cameras, counting stations, ventilation systems, etc.) along Switzerland's national roads. In parallel with my work at FEDRO, I discovered the pleasures of the educational world in 2021 as an IT visiting lecturer at the School of Management Fribourg.
