Last week, our EMBA students had an enriching experience in Boston, where they were able to explore the city's vibrant and thriving innovation ecosystem.
They visited several prestigious institutions such as the Harvard Innovation Labs, Greentown Labs, LabCentral, Novartis, and the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence. In addition to these visits, they also had the chance to explore McDermott Will & Emery, Autodesk Technology Centers, Essential, and an in-depth talk about Venture capitalism with Vinit Nijhawan (he/him) at CIC Health.
The students also had the opportunity to take a class with Professor Olivier L. de Weck, a renowned expert in the field of engineering systems design at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This experience allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of the latest trends and best practices in complex innovative design.
The study trip was co-organized by Swissnex in Boston and New York, a network that connects Switzerland and the world in science, education, art, and innovation. With Swissnex's support, the students were able to connect with experts and industry leaders in various fields, allowing them to broaden their perspectives and expand their networks.
Overall, this trip was a fantastic chance for our students to understand the latest innovations in the healthcare, biotech, and tech industries, and to explore the ways in which these innovations can be applied to their own companies in Switzerland. They returned with fresh ideas, a renewed sense of enthusiasm, and a deeper understanding of how innovation can be fostered within their organizations.
This immersive experience gave them a deeper understanding of how innovation can be fostered within their organizations and equipped them with the tools and knowledge to take their companies to the next level.
