The CBI was definitely a unique experience and something I would recommend to anyone. From an educational point of view, CBI gives you the opportunity to learn from some of Switzerland's top personalities. You get to travel to big companies and talk face to face with the people who shape, not only the Swiss, but also the international economy. If you're interested in perusing a career in finance, this experience is extremely valuable. On a personal note, Fribourg, is an extreme change of pace to a student like me who has always lived in cities with population in the millions. While Fribourg is a small town where you can basically get anywhere by walking there, it also offers any type of commodities you would want from a big city (bars, restaurants, nightclubs, public parks). Besides, Fribourg is mostly a student town, so although there aren't too much people living in the city, most of them are students like you. If you're from a big city, the small town Fribourg experience is something you won't regret. I definitely recommend this exchange to anyone willing to learn and looking for some small town student environment.

The Certificate in Banking and Insurance was a fantastic experience which truly helped me to get a better understanding of the most fundamental topics having to do with finance. The professors were extremely well prepared and helped us grasp every concept in an easy way, but still challenging us with a very complete program. The visits we made to several financial institutions as well as the guest speakers were great and enabled us to get a peek of what certain financial institutions do and how they work.

Had the opportunity to study in the CBI gave me the knowledge and develop on myself the "addiction" to finance. Also, it gave me a bigger view of the areas of the possible jobs I could get.
In addition, had the opportunity to live in Switzerland was amazing, I would do it again with no problem. Learn about the Swiss people and travel around Switzerland was a very good experience.
Finally, I have to thank the professors that are very qualify, to the assistants that help me during all the duration of the CBI, and to my classmates that created a challenge and funny environment.
