Dr. Heeger is a scientist & an entrepreneur. He won the Nobel prize for Chemistry in 2000 for the discovery and development of condutive polymers. This discovery led to development of organic LEDs, seen on today’s smartphones, flexible screens and other cool components. The next day, Dr. Heeger will be delivering the prestigious Chaim Weizmann Lecure organized by Department of Chemistry, where he will speak on “Creativity, Discovery and Risk – Nobel Prizes Past and Future”, about which the Innovation Club sent out a mailer earlier this week.
