SWISS ENTERPRISE HARNESS GROWTH IN EAST ASIA
The Boot Camp is a three week business immersion program led by School of Management - Fribourg (HEG-FR) and School of Management and Law (ZHAW-SML) - Winterthur Its main objective is to expose small teams of Bachelor and Master Students interested to conduct a brief business search in East Asia in partnership with Swiss firms, especially SMEs or Startups, exploring possible expansion in the emerging market. Teams will conduct on-site market intelligence research under the co-supervision of HEG-FR/ZHAW- SML faculty and business faculties of leading East Asian Universities. The participating Swiss firms will define specific business search questions, to be explored by student teams acting as “Junior Consultants”.
The Bootcamp will be divided in to three parts: 1 week of briefing and preparation with Swiss SMEs and local coach, working on objectives and targeted market; 3 weeks abroad in East Asia to execute their field studies in the target market and 1 week debriefing where students will finalized their work and present their findings to Swiss SMEs and their home university coach.

The International Boot Camp 2016 (East Asia) initiative was built in partnership with swissuniversities and ZHAW to promote collaboration between Swiss academia and industry. Its main objective is to expose small teams of Bachelor and Master Students interested to conduct a business search in East Asia, in particular Hong Kong, Hangzhou (China) and Singapore.
This initiative would like to invite Swiss SMEs on board with their specific business search questions to work constructively with teams of “Junior Consultants” to conduct on-site market intelligence research under the co-supervision of HEG-FR/ZHAW- SML faculty and business faculties of leading East Asian Universities, which will resolve the business search questions and explore possible opportunities in these markets or neighboring region.
